We are the Popcorn Penguins! We are a community FRC team based in Los Altos CA. We are a small team focusing on creating meaningful opportunity for each team member to collaborate on all the interdisciplinary skills needed to build a robot.
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower students to pursue their interest in STEAM by providing access to inclusive, hands-on opportunities for all members of our community. Specifically, we aim to spread FIRST core values and experiences to students whose schools do not have existing programs, students who are home-schooled, and students whose school teams conflict with other commitments. Beyond STEAM, our focus is to provide students with an understanding of how teams and businesses function in the real world. Our intent is to ensure that each student learns these skills by providing them with the opportunity to participate in the team’s business operations.
